To understand your customers, and the way they interact with your brand, we use an approach we call 'The Customer Journey'. The goal of the customer journey is to transform potential customers from being uninterested in your product or service, to active and engaged 'brand advocates'.
A customer journey may be an actual, physical one, or (increasingly) a virtual, digital one. It may encompass your route to market. It may be how they find out about your website, and what they do when they
get there.
